What is this?
Hello Round Lake Property Owners,
Please join us on
Saturday, June 16 at 9:15 a.m.
at Props Landing for a special educational session to connect with your neighbors and learn about aquatic invasive species and the RLPOA plan to manage the AIS problem on Round Lake.
Our special guest speaker is Sara Hatleli, our AIS consultant. Sara has worked very closely with the RLPOA Board to understand and identify the milfoil in our lakes. Sara, along with Dan Kollodge (RLPOA Board Member and AIS Chair), will explain what is AIS/milfoil, what we have done in the past, what our plan is for this year as well as how you can help through your AIS donations, reporting milfoil and how to pull small patches. We will also demonstrate a phone app where you can report AIS sightings on the lake.
Props is hosting the event with free coffee and the RLPOA Social Committee is bringing in breakfast treats. There also will be a cash bar with a $4 Bloody Mary special and door prizes!
While the presentation is geared for adults, kids (and your guests ) interested in learning about AIS are welcome to attend. Please also help spread the word to your neighbors and invite your visiting guests. If you are not a member or your membership has lapsed—come to the meeting anyway and we can sign you up or renew your membership for you. Cash and credit cards accepted.
No RSVP required......just come join us around 9:15 a.m. to connect with your neighbors. AIS Presentation with start at 9:45 and end by 10:45 a.m.. Props Landing opens at 11 a.m., so your family could enjoy lunch there (on your own). The Round Lake Marina is also doing a boat show that afternoon, so rumor has it, they'll be boats to check out starting mid-day.
