Eurasian Water Milfoil in Round Lake

This page will fill with current information on best practices to manage and inform the public on Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM)on Round Lake.
  1. Contact Information to Report EWM Sightings
    One part of effective management of EWM is to maintain an accurate and current map of all known locations. If you find a patch of EWM, please note the location as best you can and report your findings to one of the following. If you are unsure if you have found EWM, contact one of these volunteers and they will help you identify the plant:

    Here we will include funding avenues, grants, donations, etc.

  3. Current EWM Map
    This will be developed and kept updated with problem areas and current shoreline monitors. If OK with the monitors, we will list their contact info as they’ll be the most familiar with their area and can work more closely with neighbors in their area to help us keep our map up to date.

Zebra mussel (Dreissena polymorpha)

Species and Origin: Zebra mussels and a related species, the Quagga mussel, are small, fingernail-sized animals that attach to solid surfaces in water.
