RLPOA Board Express Concerns Over DNR Milfoil Treatment Restrictions
As many of you know, our association continues to experience roadblocks by the DNR to effectively control Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM) in our lakes.
On February 23rd 2026, a letter (see link below) was sent to the head of the DNR, Secretary, Karen Hyum and copied to Senator Romaine R. Quinn and State Representative Chanz Green expressing our concern with changing DNR policy that threatens the health of Round Lake.
As of this post, we have yet to receive any response from the DNR or our State Representatives. We will keep the membership posted when/if we hear anything as a result of this letter.
We are currently scheduling our Treatment Planning Meeting with regional DNR staff, our partners at LCO and our treatment specialist where we will share this letter and our Lake Treatment Plan for 2026. Thank you members for your continued support.
