Gary and Ruth have 3 children: a girl (married with 2 kids and a god), and 2 boys (one married with a dog).
The 2 boys and Gary are all avid Nordic (cross country) Skiers and have all done the Birkie in the past. Both boys have skied the Birkie since they were old enough (or not - a story for another time).
Ruth retired from General Dynamics Mission Systems at the end of 2023 where she had worked as the Pricing System Lead. She has worked remote since 2015. She has an undergrad in accounting and an MBA.
Ruth has many hobbies that include building "stick furniture", learning wood carving, sewing and learning to paint/painting various things to fill the lake place. Ruth also enjoys doing/teaching yoga and managing websites. She volunteered to feel connected to the lake community and to have some COVID-19 entertainment!
