All About Don Westereng

My wife Cathy and I have been owners on the lake since 2012. Prior to this time, we spent summers at the family cabin built by Cathy’s parents in 1976. Today the tradition continues with our married children and grandchildren. We enjoy boating, fishing, skiing, and swimming during the summer and getting out on the frozen lake in the winter.

I’m currently retired from a consumer healthcare company where I held many sales leadership roles. I enjoy supporting the initiatives of the property owner’s association and encourage others to get involved with RLPOA.

The popularity of the lake continues to grow, as we see more lake homes being built and increased watercraft activity. I will focus my efforts in the areas of water safety and water quality. As there has been much accomplished in the past, we must continue these efforts going forward.

My commitment to property owners is to ensure that all voices are heard around water safety and address those concerns. In the area of water quality, we need to continue to support the current efforts as we tackle aquatic invasive species and bring attention to water clarity and shoreline preservation. Education is key on all fronts. I believe everyone using the lake should take part in preserving this great resource.
