Round Lake Property Owners Association Dine Around

RLPOA Dine Arounds are a social event for members and guests hosted by RLPOA Members. They are held regularly, and scheduled to vary the day of the week and the venue to provide opportunities for members to attend. For upcoming Dine Around events, please see the Event Calendar under the Community menu, or a link from the Home page. In addition, we send Dine Around announcements to all members with email addresses.

Hi, I'm Ruth Pauly and I'm working with Sandra Sjoberg and anyone else interested in being part of the Social Committee.

We are now busy working up plans for 2026. Let us know if you want to participate!

In 2025, we changed the role of Dine Around hosts, to a new role called the "Event Greeter" to make it easier for our members to support our social activities and hopefully get more members excited to perform that function. We also feel it will be easier for venues to be dealing with a consistent contact vs being approached by different people.

Social Committee Duties:

Obtain venues/dates/times
Work with venue on meal planning
Membership communications about the event
Collect RSVPs and update the Event Greeters with attendance status
Have name tags printed
Work with the venue on special meal requests
Provide venue with final counts and last minute changes
Coordinate any announcements needed during the event
Ensure photos are taken during the event
Support the Event Greeters with their duties
Get feedback from Attendees and Event Greeters after events

Event Greeter Duties:

Greet members when they arrive
Distribute name tags
Mingle with people during the event
Provide feedback to the social committee
Optional Roles:
- Any special theme/activities/games?
- Door prizes?

We had a wonderful turnout last night, with 38 people from the Lake community enjoying good food and great conversation together.

Eight jolly RLPOA members had a great time at Powells on Dec. 14. This small group had a wonderful time getting to know neighbors. 4 of the 8 were first timers. Oh what fun! Merry Christmas. 🎄

The Social Kitchen and Cocktails - Friday October 24, 2025

We had 34 Round Lakers attend our first time event at the new Social Kitchen and Cocktails on Main Street. What a fun event with wonderful food, beautiful desert bar and great conversations. Thank you so much to Kevin and Laura Odell for being our greeters for the event.

The Landing - Saturday September 13, 2025

We had 40 people make their way for a great event at "The Landing". Food was soooo good! So nice to have a chance to talk to everyone. Thank you Jeff Erdmann for organizing this one and being our Greeter!

Tamarack Farms Winery - Tuesday June 17, 2025

We had over 60 people in attendance at our first ever private event at Tamarack Farms Winery. What a wonderful evening. Thank you Dave Anderson and Dave Von Rueden for all your work in having this event. Also thank you to Ron and Jeanette Siemers and Phil and Missy Kairis for a great job of greeting everyone!

Powell's on Round Lake - Wednesday May 21, 2025

We almost had a full house with nearly 60 people in attendance. Thank you Cathy Helm, Deb Knudson, Sherrie and Kevin Kronforst for being our Greeters! Was a great kickoff to a beautiful weekend!

Weber's Northwoods Tavern - Thursday April 24, 2025

Thank you Steve and Karen Menke for being our Greeters! We had around 30 people attend. Such a nice evening getting to know everyone.
