Are you interested in joining the Board of the Round Lakes Property Owners Association?
Dear RLPOA Member:
The Board of Directors of the Round Lake Property Owners Association is now accepting applications from members of the Association that would like to join the Association leadership team. The board terms of Dan Kollodge, Tom Wolf, and Jim Kron expire on the day of the Association 2021 annual meeting. Tom and Jim are not seeking reelection. I intend to seek reelection to the board.
The Association partners with local decision makers and agencies including the Towns of Hayward and Round Lake, Sawyer County, Wisconsin DNR, and Lac Courte Oreilles nation to identify and address issues related to the Round Lakes watershed. The association’s highest priority is to reduce and minimize the spread of Eurasian water milfoil. It maintains the navigation and hazard buoys, and undertakes projects and activities that help to protect and improve Round Lakes. The Association also provides opportunities for members of the community to come together and get to know one another.
The length of term of a board member is three years. A prospective board member must be able to participate in monthly board meetings, which are currently held virtually using Zoom. They can also expect to spend eight hours or less per month on association activities. If you desire to have an impact on the management of Round Lakes and are willing to use your time and talent on behalf of your neighbors, please consider running for board position.
Candidates should complete the attached candidate information form, located at the bottom of this Email, and send it via Email to Treasurer@RoundLakes.org or USPS by August 15th. You must be a 2021 paid member to be included on the ballot. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the roles and responsibilities of a board member, please feel free to contact a current board member using the contact information posted on the Round Lakes website, RoundLakes.org.
