2022 RLPOA Board News

Dan Kollodge | Published on 11/8/2022
Hello Members,

It's been a busy fall for the association with the members annual meeting held October 1, 2022.  The three members that were up for reelection were voted back onto the board by the members.  They are Marty Hanson, David Rutt, & Jim Nancekivell.  For those of you that may have missed the annual meeting, The Zoom video presentation was recorded and is available to view on the association website.

The RLPOA board meeting was held Saturday November 5, 2022.  There were a couple of actions taken at the meeting that I want to share with you.  The board voted for the association officer positions.  Officers are elected every year, board member terms are three years.  After the vote, the officers for 2023 will remain the same as last year.

  • Joan Buehrle        -  Vice-President
  • Marty Hanson       -  Treasurer
  • Don Westerneg    -  Secretary
In other news, the board had a budget discussion where future expenses and revenue were reviewed to make sure that the association is adequately funded.  We anticipate association expenses will rise over the next few years and determined that a membership dues increase is needed to maintain a healthy financial position.  The current membership fee is $35 and has been in place since 2013.  The board voted to increase membership dues to $45 starting in the year 2024.

Members that haven't yet paid their dues for 2022 will be contacted by the membership chair, shortly.  Please do your part to support the association.  On December 1st, the 2023 membership campaign will begin.  You will receive a notice via Email.

With the holiday season approaching, I'm sure many of you will be buying items from Amazon for family and friends.  Please remember to use the Amazon Smile program when purchasing items.  What is Amazon Smile?  It is a program where Amazon shoppers can designate a charitable organization where Amazon will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases to the designated charitable organization, at no extra cost to the shopper!  Scroll down the website home page to find the link (RoundLakes.org) or copy and paste this link into your browser. https://smile.amazon.com/ch/39-1343440

The generosity of our members allows the board to continue to perform the activities that protect and enhance enjoyment of Round Lakes.
